Priced to compete with other basic ARs, the AR-556 is a standard direct gas impingement counterpart to the company’s higher end piston-driven SR-556.

"This is a natural extension of the Gunsite Scout Rifle line," said Gunsite Instructor Ed Head, one of the contributors to the original Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle design.

The new LC9s expands the LC9 line to four models. In addition to the new LC9s and the original LC9 in 9mm, the line includes the LC380 and the diminutive LCP chambered in .380 ACP.

New threaded-barrel models in .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR are now available in full size and compact models.
