With 2018 SHOT Show right around the corner, Savage Arms has announced a newly manufactured rifle — the MSR 15 Valkyrie. The new rifle is complemented by Federal Premium’s new 224 Valkyrie cartridge, which delivers supersonic velocities out to 1,300 yards. The new cartridge also produces only half the recoil compared to larger cartridges needed to achieve comparable trajectories.
The MSR 15 Valkyrie features an upgraded 18-inch barrel with 5R rifling and a two-stage trigger. Its Elite Series Cerakote finish forms a tough, protective layer on the upper and lower receivers and its adjustable mid-length gas system can be customized to specific ammunition.
